The evening
How the night flows
- A 2½-hour evening, 6:30–9:00 PM, including 30 minutes for check-in and website setup.
- Arrive 6:30–6:45 PM with a charged smartphone and completed profile. Use our website — no app download required.
- Welcome and instructions at 7:00 PM; first round approximately 7:10 PM, started by your organizer.
- Five-minute conversations, one-on-one.
- Two minutes between rounds to find your next person — sit wherever you like, there are no assigned tables.
- A 10-minute break after round 5, with up to 10 rounds planned.
- Time to mingle once the rounds are done.
- The number of dates depends on attendance, so not every guest is guaranteed to meet every other guest.
Food and drinks are purchased separately from the café.

Guests privately select who they’d like to see again. Mutual-match results are sent the next day, and contact details are shared only with permission.

Event FAQ
Do I need to register?
Yes — every guest must register to take part. Create your profile on thelovelysociety.com with a selfie, your first name and phone number, using the same email as your Eventbrite ticket. It takes about two minutes. Need a hand? Arrive 30 minutes early and we’ll help you at the door.
Do I need an app?
No app needed — the whole evening runs on our website in your phone’s browser. Any recent smartphone works, iPhone ideally. Before the evening, please update your phone and your browser (Safari or Chrome), charge it fully, and bring it with you.
Can I come alone?
Yes — most guests do. Solo guests are warmly welcome, and our host will help you settle in.
Who is this event for?
Ages 45–55. Women seeking men and men seeking women.
How does the evening work?
Your phone shows the photo and first name of each date. You have two minutes to find each other, then five minutes to talk. There are no assigned tables — sit wherever you like. Up to ten dates in an evening.
What if the numbers are uneven?
Sometimes a few more women or men arrive. When that happens, someone sits out a round — a short break, about seven minutes. Your phone shows a countdown to your next date, so it’s the perfect moment for a drink. You never meet the same person twice.
Will I meet everyone?
Not always. The number of dates depends on attendance, so we can’t promise every guest meets every other guest.
What if I’m running late?
Come anyway. Check in when you arrive and tap “I’m ready” — you’ll join from the next round.
Are food and drinks included?
No. Food and drinks are purchased separately from the café.
How do matches work?
After each date you privately choose “Would meet again” or “Not this time”. If you both chose each other, we email you at 10 AM the next morning with their first name and phone number — and you’ll see them on your profile.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your choices are never shown to anyone. Only a mutual match receives your first name and phone number — your email and last name are never shared.
What if I don’t get a match?
It happens — chemistry often clicks on a second evening. We’ll send you a kind note with 15% off your next Lovely Society evening.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable that makes you feel confident. Smart casual is perfect.
What is the refund policy?
Full refund up to 7 days before the evening. Inside 7 days tickets are final — we can only move yours to another Lovely Society evening as credit. If we cancel or postpone, you're refunded in full.
